Parking Grids

Description
Parking grids are modular open-cell systems used for permeable surface construction, base stabilization, and load distribution. The grids can be filled with soil and grass or with mineral aggregate, allowing the surface to combine functional performance with a more natural appearance.
Applications
Parking grids are used for parking spaces, driveways, pedestrian paths, bicycle zones, technical access roads, residential areas, and other surfaces where permeability and surface stability are important. Selected grid types may also be used in more heavily loaded areas if the base structure is properly designed.

Key Selection Parameters

Important factors include module size, element height, cell type, fill material, permeability, biologically active area, load capacity, UV and temperature resistance, resistance to mechanical loading, module connection system, base type, and design load.

Technical Characteristics

  • product type: modular parking / grass / road grid
  • module size: approximately 39 cm – 58 cm
  • element height: approximately 2.5–5.0 cm
  • fill type: soil with grass / aggregate / mineral fill
  • biologically active area: depending on the model, up to 88.6%
  • permeability: high
  • load capacity: depending on the system and base structure, up to 1000 t/m²
  • installation: modular connection of elements

Project-Specific Selection

Module size, grid height, fill type, base layer thickness, drainage scheme, connection system, and permissible load are selected according to the intended use. For transport-loaded or special-use surfaces, not only the grid itself but also the properly designed base structure is critical. Parameters Table
Parameter Typical values
Product type modular parking / grass / road grid
Module size approximately 39 cm – 58 cm
Element height approximately 2.5–5.0 cm
Cell type depending on the model
Fill type grass / aggregate / mineral fill
Biologically active area depending on the model, up to 88.6%
Permeability high, with water infiltration into the base
Permissible load depending on the system and base structure, up to 1000 t/m²
Resistance weather, mechanical loads, and UV
Installation modular connection of elements

Technical Notes

  • For loaded surfaces, the properly designed base is just as important as the grid itself.
  • The grid may be used with both grass-filled and mineral-filled surfaces.
  • High permeability and a large proportion of biologically active area are among the key advantages of this solution.
  • Different zones — pedestrian, parking, access, or technical — require appropriate grid selection in terms of format, height, and load capacity.
